Founder of McAfee: I'll eat my dick if bitcoin price doesn’t reach $1 million
The creator of the McAfee Security antivirus John McAfee, known for his eccentric statements, concluded a truly self-defeating bet. The American programmer in his "tweet" promised to eat his penis if bitcoin rate doesn’t reach 1 million dollars by the end of 2020.
Earlier, the American programmer assumed that the bitcoin price would reach $500,000 by 2020, but the rapid strengthening of cybercurrency made him raise current rates.
At the time of writing this article bitcoin price was about $10,636 and market capitalization – $178,631,480,448.
This week it reached more than $11,400.
Bitcoin bounced back on Friday, after an eventful week for cryptocurrency, while CME Group (NASDAQ: CME) confirmed the launch of futures in two weeks.
On Bitfinex stock exchange based in the United States, Bitcoin is at $ 10,525.00 at 9:41 AM ET (14: 41GMT), up 6.24% after touching $ 10,760 earlier.
