Do you think driverless car technology is the wave of the future? I appraised a couple of properties over the last year with tenants who design driverless tech. The companies are Aurora Innovation and Cruise Automation.
Founded by three of the world’s leaders in the self-driving vehicle industry, Aurora Innovation designs the software and hardware that powers driverless vehicles. Aurora works at the intersection of rigorous engineering and applied machine learning to address the way people and goods are transported.
At the time of the lease signing, Cruise Automation was a start-up company that created self-driving car software for the driverless car industry. However, about six months after the lease signing, General Motors (GM) purchased Cruise Automation for $581 million dollars.
I was looking forward to driverless cars but there have been some bad accidents over here now with tst vehicles on the highway. Now I am not too sure.
