The Keyport application is a platform that uses OP_Codes of the Bitcoin Cash network (BCH) and allows users to send and accept encrypted messages built on the BCH chain and the Toku protocol. The new Keyport platform was created by Atlantislabs and allows anyone to send messages encrypted while communications are stored in the BCH chain in an OP_Return transaction and only the recipient can decrypt messages.

Keyport: an encrypted messaging application built on the chain of Bitcoin Cash blocks.

This week the bitcoin cash proponents can now test a new encrypted messaging application that works with the Toku protocol and the BCH blockchain. The Keyport beta platform is available in the Google Play store and the team also posted a video demonstration so people can see how to use the application. News.Bitcoin.com spoke with the co-founder of Atlantislabs, Shravan Shandilya, who told us about the new platform.

"Keyport is a point-to-point messaging application that is built on the Bitcoin Cash block chain, messages are encrypted and embedded in OP_Return of a transaction: only the recipient can decrypt their chats. and a small mining fee", explains Shandilya.
"As the protocol is built on the decentralized blockchain, third parties can not intercept or block their chats, such as what is being done to send messages to applications such as Telegram: the protocol can be extended to allow future privacy, by generating secrets ephemeral in one direction".
The Bitcoin Cash Protocol is Uncensorable and Decentralized, and those are the Needs of a Private Messaging Application

Shandilya explains that he founded the Keyport project with his partner Sumanth Neppalli and that both are big Bitcoin Cash maximalists who believe that innovation has been stifled by the debate of the Bitcoin Scale for so many years. Shandilya says they had been exploring different ways to increase adoption and initially built a payment gateway that accepted confirmation transactions of 0.

"What we observed was that the merchants already had payment gateways and we should look for other ways to increase user adoption, and at the same time, we observed that censorship on multiple platforms such as Twitter, Reddit has become uncontrollable. First hand that when the information is controlled as in the case of the bitcoin subreddit, people can not see the other perspective", Shandilya told news.Bitcoin.com.

"Governments have succeeded in banning end-to-end encryption protocols like Signal". The emergence of alternative media suggested that people were trying to get information but that they were being censored by social networks, payment gateways, media sites, etc. Bitcoin Cash The protocol could solve this problem, since it is not reprehensible and decentralized, and those are the needs of a private messaging application We were also inspired by Dr. Wright's paper on "Secret Value Distribution".

The Keyport development team has a Telegram group so users can give feedback to the team and report errors. The team says they are inviting developers interested in working on the project and plan to open the source code and the "release for iOS in the near future".

"We are working on getting the code open for the messaging service and we will do it soon, anyone can build on the protocol to create bots, tag packages, etc., and we believe that Bitcoin messaging will free many creative applications", Keyport emphasized.
