Peach will accept bitcoins for payment

Peach Aviation Ltd was the first airline to officially announce bitcoin as one of the methods of calculation, thanks to the recently entered into force legal changes in its status.

Loucaster Peach announced that he will accept bitcoins for payment.
One of the reasons for this decision was the desire to win customers from other Asian countries, primarily from China and South Korea.

Today the company announced that by the end of the year the company's customers will be able to use bitcoins for booking air travel. This step was made possible thanks to the recent legal changes in the status of bitcoins, as a result of which bitcoin became the official method of calculation, the company's representatives note.

In addition, Peach plans to work with the government and local companies to spread and popularize Bitcoin.

Cinichi Inoue, Chief Executive Officer of Peach, commented on this initiative:

"We strive to attract customers from other countries and revitalize some regions of Japan"

Peach - not the first airline that started taking bitcoins, in payment for tickets. Earlier, in 2014 AirBaltic made a similar move, followed by Polish Airlines LOT, as well as the service Universal Air Travel Plan, which is relevant for 260 flights.
