62% of institutional investors are considering buying Bitcoins, according to a survey

In recent weeks, a series of surveys has provided an idea of ​​the public's perception of Bitcoin: Japanese, Americans, millennials, etc., all have been addressed in relation to the market's leading cryptocurrency. A newly published survey sheds light on what Bitcoin investors think at the institutional level.

In spite of the numerous rejection phrases that some of the main Wall Street spokespeople have launched about the cryptocurrency, their subordinates have remained notably absent from the debate about Bitcoin. We know what people like Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan Chase, think, however, thanks to the efforts of Triad Securities, we now know what average institutional traders think.

Between November 6 and 13, the firm surveyed 317 institutional traders in a survey that revealed contradictory views about Bitcoin. When asked if they had ever bought Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, 31% answered yes, and half had done it only in the last six months.

Another 36% said they were considering buying Bitcoin, 31% ruled it out completely, and, as expected, only 1.5% of respondents confessed that they were not familiar with cryptocurrency.
The same group was asked about the ICOs, which received much less enthusiasm than the Bitcoin. The number of traders who invested in them was less than 8%, and 48% said that they had not even evaluated them as an investment option. 29% of respondents admitted having considered the merits of ICOs investment, and another 15% expressed their desire for additional regulation before venturing into this ecosystem.

41% of respondents see Bitcoin as a safe deposit with a value similar to gold, and a little over 39% believe that Bitcoin is a bubble that is destined to fail. However, not all investors are so pessimistic about the outlook: 27% think it will continue to grow gradually, and another 17% are more positive, stating that Bitcoin will double in value over the next six months.
