In a July 13th article at Coindesk, "Goldman Sachs Granted 'SETLcoin' Cryptocurrency Patent"
After a little searching on uspto.gov, I found this document (partial image)...
It looks like they began this patent going back to at least 2014. (I guess, the writing was on the wall at that time.)
A recent NBC Business News article reported, "The War on Cash Intensifies: Visa Offers Restaurants $10,000 to Go Cashless"
With these reports, and hearing about "the war on cash," and countless other articles about the coming economic collapse, and watching cryptocurrency mania, it appears we are on the verge of a major change in the global economic system.
Why the hell is Visa offering restaurants $10K to turn down cash-paying customers?
It sounds like "collusion" between Visa and the government and banking system, to force (or encourage, or coerce) people to stop using cash, and get comfortable with electronic payments using their (fiat-based money) system, before too many people get comfortable using Bitcoin, Litecoin and other cryptocurrencies. Of course, there's that added "benefit" to Visa, where they get to charge a fee for all transactions!
And then there's the buzz going around about the cover and associated story from the 1988 Economist magazine, where the cover story is "GET READY FOR A WORLD CURRENCY" (Notice the date on the gold coin around the neck of the Phoenix, and the burning fiat currency - including a $5 US Lincoln.)
Which was published in January 1988:
The article begins with this sentence:
"THIRTY years from now, Americans, Japanese, Europeans, and people in many other rich countries, and some relatively poor ones will probably be paying for their shopping with the same currency."
And the article ends with this sentence:
"Pencil in the phoenix for around 2018, and welcome it when it comes."
You can read the full Economist cover story here:
So, whether you pencil in the Phoenix, Visa card, gold, silver or Bitcoin, you should make sure you've got a good sharpened #2 Dixon Ticonderoga®, because I've got a feeling we're all going to have to "pencil in" whatever is coming.
