The Crypto News of the Day… Yale
News came out today that Yale University and its endowment fund got into crytpo.
This is huge news in my opinion.
Yale University, in New Haven, Connecticut, has the second largest endowment on the planet at $29.4 billion.
According to Bloomberg Yale recently invested in a new fund called Paradigm.
It’s a fund that focuses on digital assets and raised $400 million. The fund was started by Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam, ex-Sequoia Capital partner Matt Huang and ex-Pantera Capital employee Charles Noyes.
This is big because there really wasn’t much in the way of news regarding endowments getting into cryptocurrencies. Overall in the US endowments manage over a half trillion. It’s likely over a trillion worldwide.
It was also revealed that Yale invested in a16z’s $300 million crypto fund.
I think the crypto market should be up a lot more on this news, how about youi?
