Bitcoin pizza day. bitcoin keeps on rising + Coinbase went down
This is part of why I love the cryptocurrency community. We just celebrated May 22, 2010, the day someone didn’t see bitcoin as digital gold and decided to buy two pizzas for 10,000 BTC. Granted, at the time he got a pretty great ddeal, but those two pizzas are now worth well over $20 million - he should’ve thought about it in the long run.
May 22 2017 was a pretty great day for bitcoin, the cryptocurrency just keeps on surging, so mmuch so that we are now at $2,173.4 per coin, with a total market cap of $35 billion.
In other news, Coinbase seems to have been down for a while, and still isn't fully back up. I wasn't able to tell why jut yet, but it seems like my funds are all still there. The company doesn't really clarify what's going on either:
