I don't think it will take nearly that long. It might take that period for Steem to surpass Ethereum though ;-)

What competitive advantages does Bitcoin have over Ethereum and other altcoins which are not derived from a superior network effect?
Ethereum has yet to prove itself. No use cases to report as yet. Just a lot of hypothetical scenarios and big banks and big corporations behind it (which in and of itself leaves a bad in my mouth). Also, can you explain Ethereum to your average Joe? I know i can explain bitcoin in about 5 minutes and someone will be able to understand it.
