I would suggest you get a hot wallet like Jaxx on your PC or Smartphone and convert some of your STEEM or SBD into BTC and store it there just so you can get a feel for it and own some BTC when you do have some money maybe buy a few dollars here and there and add it to your wallet.

Get comfortable with the technology first before you invest in it big time.
