Are we all still here yet?

I had a long break from Steemit and the rest of the world since the bitcoin fork.
It seemed that the site was slowing into a stupor and steem itself has been sliding considerably. Hardly worth posting for the few cents of steem.
Then along came North Korea to keep us all amused as we awaited the nuclear Armageddon that might end all blogging.
Well, Bitcoin seems to have survived for now as well as the rest of the planet so we wait patiently for Steem to get back on the rails and carry on it's move forward.
Yesterday I moved some steem dollars into my Wirex account. Poloniex is still not taking steem and up until yesterday Bittrex was none to keen either. Yesterday Bittrex sorted out it's act and allowed me to move my miserly 100SD to wirex.
Here's a link to Wirex if nobody has heard of it

So far, apart from the monthly charges, it has all worked flawlessly.

In the meantime, my cloud mining with BTCProMiner continues slowly but surely and I have accumulated about 250 US dollars.
I'm still waiting on the first payout to arrive after nearly two months but we live in hopes.

That's my affiliate link if anyone wants to play. It can be done for free if you have a bitcoin wallet, though I upgraded mine to the first level.

Another little side of bitcoin gathering I play with is the dice rolling site.
Again, costs nothing but does pass the time when I get bored with angry birds.

Stay well my friends and it's nice to be back.
Steem On!!

Been always here :)

I have been lurking but had a lot of other things going on.

Well, I've somehow managed to still be worth three cent so you have it. :)

yup me too. After all this time my vote is still worthless. 217 votes right now for 55 cents. Total bullshit

I’m new to Steemit; and, have done a little research and a lot of reading from the experts. I am not here for the money, as much as I am here for the camaraderie, and the opportunity to be on the cutting edge of something that is potentially a rising star. I like to interact; and, if a few pennies fall my way that’s just a plus!
Now, based on what I’m observing, there are some big-name brands who are Steemians. These are clearly whales. They are buying up a whole lot of Power, and putting it on their own sites. LOL…if you think that’s going to make me, a minnow rich…smh…think again.
But, with that said, STEEMIT is fun. Two cents beat no cents; and, that’s what I get from other platforms.
Peace!

You're right @steemitboard. I've amassed 221 votes for an incredible 68 cents. Colour me sceptical and I'll call bollocks on this venture now the smurfs from the east have turned it into a joke.
Somewhere along the way, this idea turned from groups of folk enjoying a read and voting, to sad fuckers wanted to get rich quick and milking a shaky system.
The post itself is less important than me testing the memo's I've been receiving in my wallet. I paid 2SD for 200 votes to see what happened. Got the 200 votes worth of fuck all. This is what will kill Steemit.

So, give some advice to this brand new steem user right here please....
I saw jerry banfield talk about steem on youtube when researching cryptocurrency and its' future. He hyped Steemit up real good on the video, so i thought id give it a go.
Its been four hours since my account was approved. Just for shits, I posted a couple things to see what would happen.
I'm now looking around and reading comments. Came across yours right here, and the wind died in my sails about steem.
Could you save me the time by laying it all out in your experience of steem?
Im starting to think jerry banfield is just a tool who gets paid to promote anything and the promoters help him, so everyone thinks, "if he can do it, so can I..."

Is this whole site just a big bag of Steam that isnt really going anywhere?
Im still trying to wrap my head around where the actual real money comes from to pay everybody ...
Thanks.

Jerry certainly backed up his talk on here with support and he isn't the issue.
Since the last hard fork there have been anomalies with the payout structure that has made it significantly less profitable for the small users like us.
As I pointed out above, a post with 200 votes in the past would have received significantly more for the poster than 60 cents.
The problem? too many bots.
You had to wait for verification of your account but it seems some are creating bulk accounts and scamming the system. They don't come on here to post anything constructive or worthwhile they just sell upvotes.
Keep at it and work up the ladder. I live in hopes it will be corrected once those that have money and don't give a shit notice the problems of us tiny folk.
