Yes, we could have segwit months ago and we're finally getting it now. Check btc price and how the market reacts:)
We could have had a blocksize increase years ago but look who has been blocking it in favor of their layer two solutions conveinently enabled by SegWit.
The price is no correlation to segwit, there is so many other factors at play in this period of consensus.

Ummm I wouldn't go that far.
Certainly going to be a fork tho.
I would. segwit only had 30% miner support all the way up to the NYA, which was agreed on only because there was no other alternative to threat of Bip148.
Big blocks already had over 50% support and segwit+1MB (2MB fork not til Nov) will not be able to mine blocks fast enough.
