According to investigators, shortly before the crime, the gang leader convinced the local businessman that he wants to buy his office and trade license, thus gaining access to the premises . Then the attackers began to search the Internet for potential victims, declaring their intention to sell bitcoins for cash.

As a result, two brothers came to the connection, wishing to acquire a crypto currency . The meeting was scheduled in an empty office - six intruders were waiting inside, three more were watching from outside. Upon arrival, the kidnappers attacked the brothers-buyers and tied them, then they took all the cash and disappeared. Subsequently, the victims were able to free themselves and immediately appealed to the police.

According to Major-General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansuri, the gang has not left any traces behind, and high technology has provided invaluable assistance in its capture.

"Thanks to the use of smart programs and artificial intelligence, the police managed to detain a local resident who turned out to be the leader of the gang. Subsequently, the information received from the think tank allowed the officers to arrest all the other members of the group, " Al Mansuri said.

The attackers were detained on the territory of four different emirates within 48 hours after the crime was committed, the stolen money was also found, the newspaper notes.
