Bitmain Owners Jihan Wu and Ketuan Zhan Step Down

South China Morning Post have published that Bitmain’s two founders Jihan Wu and Ketuan Zhan will be stepping down.

The sources are said to be “people with knowledge of the matter”, likely via an internal leak.

Bitmain Technology is the world’s largest cryptomining hardware vendor. They build rigs for large mining operations, accounting for 75% of the specialised mining hardware used.

It is believed that the Bitmain board of directors have decided to force Wu and co-owner Ketuan Zhan to step down.
