Putting Bitcoin Into Prespective
This is going to be a short to the point post however in being short I think it will be more powerful.
There are a total of 17,177,012 Bitcoins in existence at this moment
Only 21,000,000 will ever be "printed"
There are currently 7,639,096,301 and counting people in the world
That's 0.00274901 bitcoin per person
Bitcoins have gone missing and are lost forever making the above numbers even lower!
Less then 2% of Investors in the USA own any bitcoin
26% more have shown interest
More ETFs are on the table for the SEC to review that deal in bitcoin and crypto
These points in order just show how much demand is still waiting to get behind bitcoin and cryptocurrency and when it does those of you holding just 1 bitcoin will be sitting pretty!
This is a world wide currency!
but you have to remember atleast 8000 bitcoins are lost forever cough Counterpaty and private key burns
8000 is a pretty small number but I would suspect alot more then that is missing for sure
I read about 4 million are probably lost but 8K is the only confirmed number by pure evidence
Totally agree. Some people call it digital gold, I think it's far more useful! Apart from being able to hit someone over the head with it, Bitcoin is far superior to gold.
Unfortunately, a lot of people are yet to understand how Bitcoin works and what makes it valuable... But that gives those who do understand it, time to buy some... Which you have all done right?
Great summary on the scarcity of Bitcoin! They also project that it will take another 120 years to mine those other 4 million BTC! It is also said that Satoshi has 1 million BTC that we may never know if they will be used or not.
Bitcoin is great however very few people are trading any of it. Way to many people hoarding it. It could loose value on this issue. I still have a tiny percentage of 1 full bitcoin but enjoy owning it! Used some of it to buy Ether, Litecoin, and several others. Good post thanks for the information!

The points are good, I've heard an even bigger number that is "lost". This could be harmful, but I think it's going to be fine over the long run
We can clearly see a path where the best is to come for Bitcoin.
