Currently the price of Bitcoin is in the range of US $ 6,419.03 per coin. This figure is only one third of the highest price in December 2017 which reached US $ 20,000. Until now Bitcoin was not supported by the central bank and without basic assets.

The price of Bitcoin continues to rise since 2016-2017, after which investors and traders experience oversold, said Novogratz, Thursday (09/20/2018).

Novogratz said Galaxy Digital's digital currency index shows "the classic lowest level" in the market and there has been a sell-off that continues. Galaxy Digital launched the index in collaboration with Bloomberg in May to track the performance of 10 digital coins.

Novogratz, a former hedge fund manager at Fortress Investment Group and partner of Goldman Sachs Group, has been one of the most vocal supporters of cryptocurrency on Wall Street.

"Bitcoin has survived at US $ 6,000. Yes, this is the lowest point, but [Bitcoin] has established itself as a store of value," Novogratz said.

Novogratz believes that currently many banks have begun to consider digital currencies because of this product boom. Banks consider using digital currency to protect their customers.
