Mine with your browser and get Bitcoins! Is it true? Is it profitable? Bonus for referrals!

in #bitcoin7 years ago

Hello guys! As you probably heared, The Pirate Bay used on their site browser mining as source of income. I did digging on this and I found out that they achieved it with https://coin-hive.com/ solutions. They mine Monero that is not mineable by ASIC miners, that's why it's profitable to mine with CPU only. In this post I want to make an review and tutorial to earning on your own with this method using faucet site offernming mining option.

Now, do you remember the faucet websites? Yes, the ones that are displaying ads and giving you dust. Of course back in the days dust was 0.05 BTC and now dust is 0.0000005 BTC. Do you know old but gold freebitco.in faucet? It is one of the best faucets ever. There is no ads - they get profit from mining and now browser mining too.

Should I trust them?

Freebitco.in is really trustworthy site. They are one of the longest running Bitcoin faucet site and never scammed anyone. If someone claims that he has been scammed by them - it's probably competition or just some trolls. Freebitco.in staff are proffesionals, you can read how are your funds stored:

We use a combination of hot wallets, hardware wallets (Trezor) and BIP38 encrypted paper wallets to store bitcoins. At no time do we keep more than 5% of our total bitcoins in the hot wallet which is used for making payouts. The hardware wallet is used as a "warm" wallet and bitcoins are transferred from it to the hot wallet as required. Our paper wallets serve as our "cold" storage with the wallets generated on an air-gapped computer running Tails OS. Our hardware and paper wallets are also secured against physical theft as the hardware wallet requires a pin code and encryption password to access and the private keys in the paper wallet are encrypted which means that the coins in the wallet cannot be accessed without having both the private key and the encryption password. We also keep physical copies of the cold storage wallets at multiple locations.

I am with this site for a very long time and have good opinion on them. Admin is really nice and helpful, you can really see that he wants to help you with problems.

Is it profitable?

It really depends what do you mean by profitable. If you consider it as an living option - it is not. You will probably earn some small amounts but hey, it's something. If you are using your PC anyway, why not share, for example, 10% of CPU power for it? You won't get rich with it of course. If you want real mining, get nicehash or join some mining pool, this is an option to people who don't want to dive deep into this.

You can also turn on "earning" on your account and when your balance is over 30,000 satoshi you will get daily interest and make your interest grow with mining. It's pretty nice way to build passive income IMO. Then you can exchange your earnings and convert into Steem Power to make your Steemit account bigger! :)

How to join?
