🔶 The Eurasian siskin (Spinus spinus)
These variegated yellow birds live in our forests all year round, but you can see them only with the arrival of autumn. By mid-September, these birds are actively wandering through the forests, forming flocks.
Being in the forest in summer, I constantly hear the voice of these birds in the same place. Where conifers grow. It is the conifers that attract these birds.
I photographed these guys in early October. It was a huge flock, it was so large that when gathered together in the forest there was a very loud hubbub of birds.
The birds actively examined the trees for small seeds and remaining shoots.
The very first photo shows a female. She has dull yellow plumage and a white belly with stripes. And in the second photo there is a male, he has bright yellow plumage and a black cap on his head.
