The Hawaiian Alphabet has only 13 letters

Its interesting that the Hawaiian Alphabet has only 13 letters,

These are a,e,h,i,k,l,m,n,o,p,u,w and okine, thats a symbol. 

It has f ive vowels (long and short) and eight consonants.

The Alphabet represents the sounds  that were linguistically intelligible to the white people

who wanted to print the Christian Bible in the  in the Hawaiian language
