Diary Game Season 3 (May 03, 2021)/ BZ az a Bee!

in #betterlife3 years ago

Hello my fellow dearest steemians! How are you all doing? Praying everybody are healthy, strong and in good shape, Let's keep it that way👍😉

This week was really a busy day for me. We have projects to attend to. It took me several days before I was able to document and share to you my Monday, May third. So here goes my Monday diary for this week. My apologies really for the late upload.

It began on an early Monday morning, around six am I was already up and prepared our breakfast. I cooked sweet porridge or Champorado in our dialect using whole wheat rolled oats with pure chocolate cacao or Tableya (as we call it in our dialect) added some muscovado sugar with milk on top. I love eating this in the morning because it really gives me the boost of energy that I need. Specially to where we're going. Plus it warms my tummy. Have you tried eating rolled oats with pure chocolate/cacao with milk on top? Instead of muscovado you can also use honey, sweetener or just plain sugar.

After eating, I took a bath then hubby, my son and I headed for the cemetery to visit my beloved grandma around 7am. She died 11 years ago last January 24, 2010. It was her birthday the day before, May second but we were not able to visit because it was the Christening of my nephew of whom I was one of the God mother.

It is our tradition since her passing to always visit her on her birthday and on all Souls day, November first. It is our way of remembering her and showing her how much we love her, respect her even after she has passed on. Since we were not able to visit her on the day of her birthday, we scheduled it on Monday, May third.
We brought some candles and a bolo so we can clean her grave.
The ride to the cemetery was a bit far because it is already part of Bataan. It is called Tipo cemetery. You have to pass two barangays outside our city before reaching the cemetery. It's about thirty to forty minutes drive from our home.
The cemetery was nestled on top of a hill, overlooking this gorgeous view of the mountain which is called Mt. Sta. Rita which is still a part of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority. During the time of the Americans this was used as a radar station and is heavily guarded and up until now our local military still uses it. Only authorized personnel have access to this mountain. You can see there is a building on top of the mountain.

You can also see the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Express or SCTex way just below the hills. You can see the dome? that is toll exit where you will get your ticket upon exiting and pay upon entering to Subic.

This cemetery is the town's local cemetery, not private. So you can see that it is not maintained, lot's of tall grass and shrubberies. This will only be cleaned by the family members who will come and visit their loved ones. To each his own is the customary here, unlike in the private cemeteries you can hire someone to do the maintenance of your lot and all are uniformly kept if you are located in the garden area. It is well maintained. It' s a bit scary because of the tall grasses so I would always come here with my hubby or my siblings, not alone. I wouldn't dare.

When we reached her place of rest. It was full of wild plants. Hubby and I helped on the clearing of the shrubberies.

Then, our son came because he brought his bike with him and did some bike ride on the trails leading to the cemetery. It is an off road so he was enjoying the trails. He was literally passing through the cemented grave carrying his bike with him. Then hubby jokingly said, that's good it's your turn to carry you bike! that is a good relationship, give and take! It's not just your bike who will carry you all the time, you have to carry it as well..... haha!

After clearing the shrubberies, we said our little family prayer for nanay (term used for old women, like grandma or mother). We did some selfie on her resting place. Then hubby said we should paint her grave so it will be nice and clean and beautiful like what we normally do during All Souls day celebration which we were not able to visit because of the lockdown last year. So I asked when will we come back? he replied this afternoon! I said, ok then.

We said our farewells around past 9am because it was already very hot. Then we took advantage of the time that we were together so we just let our son ride his bike on the dirt road while filming his stunts. Enjoying each other's company laughing because I had a small mishap. I tripped and fell, butt first then I started to climb up and fell again on my knees on the hilly rugged trail going up the hill where our vehicle was parked. Hubby was busy filming our son's trail ride so he was not on my side. They said, it would have been fun if it was caught on camera..... I said, haha! with a grin and smile on my face. Did I make your day boys?

We took some family photos as well because the view was spectacular. It was such a beautiful fine day, very windy. Perfect for an outdoor adventure.

Around 10am, we received a call that there is an emergency on one of the Pumping Stations, which is the major raw water pump house that pumps water to the Water Treatment Plant. One of the pump motor overheated and needs to be repaired ASAP. We call this job, the Boom Truck operation. Hubby will be the one to operate and drive the Boom Truck. He will use it to remove the heavy pumps and pipes.

Have you heard of a boom truck before?
Boom trucks usually have a rotating telescopic-boom crane mounted on a commercial truck chassis. The configuration allows for ease of transport of lifting equipment to job sites and allows the boom truck to maximize utilization. The truck chassis typically have a flatbed body upon which the boom crane is mounted.

What is a boom truck used for?
Boom trucks are vehicles that have a long, foldable arm that may be used to lift workers to the top of a phone or electrical pole, or to a high rooflines.

So, we immediately went home. On our way home, we passed by these beautiful Fire Tree with red blossoms just along the road. Upon our arrival home, we prepared the necessary tools and equipment needed for the emergency call. Then headed to the Pumping Station with the Boom Truck.

While we were there, The river was flooded again with water lilies and we need to remove them again because it contributed a lot to why the pump motor over heated also because the river's water receded tremendously due to the hot weather conditions. We are really praying for rain.

The manager called me again asking if we have some men with us. I told them it's just me and hubby. Then she said because they lack the manpower if we could do the task of clearing the water lilies again. So, I looked for people on the other side of the river, good thing there were boys swimming, I haven't asked them yet, they told me right away if they can offer their services to do the clean up of the lilies. We talked how much then hired six of them. We had to stay there during lunch time just to monitor their progress.

They finished around 2pm. They did the job for three hours but it was not really a job for them because they were just like playing, pushing the lilies onto the edge of the river.

After the clean up we headed home, just bought some ready to eat food at an eatery or carinderia along the way home.
After eating our late lunch, I went to the Duty Free to buy some red rice because we already ran out of rice. We have been eating red rice since the beginning of this year because it's much healthier than the white one.

IMG20210427124540.jpg

after my short visit at the Duty Free, I immediately went home because we are still going back to the cemetery to do the paint job on Nanay's grave. When I reached home, My mother-in-law told me that she bought fresh fish earlier and gave them to me so I can cook it for our dinner. It was tuna fish. I hurriedly cooked it Adobo style with coconut milk topped with eggplants. Lot's of garlic and pepper. I finished cooking around 4:45pm. Dinner is ready!

Then we drove back to Tipo cemetery but this time with my brother. I phoned him earlier if he can go with us so he can help paint. My brother painted Nanay's headstone with gold because our grandma loves gold jewelries when she was still alive.

We left the cemetery past 6pm. We saw this lovely, lovely sunset on the hills.

Then, we dropped by my brother's computer shop which he just opened recently. It was located along the hi-way going to the cemetery. We stayed there until past 7pm. Then went home and enjoyed our dinner. After eating, my mother-in-law came and had a chat with us asking about the happenings of the day. We often do this almost every night because she just live beside our house, we live in a compound.

I offered to give her a massage to relax her tired legs and feet because she always have cramps. I usually do this every other day, once a week for her whole body massage. I used the Tagungirit oil which is really very good for doing massages. It is not oily and not sticky on the skin. Have you heard of Tagungirit oil? I mixed some with efficasent oil to make a bit chilli.

Thanks much for taking care of Nanay's grave for 5 yrs hav'nt visit, time flies so fast I can't believed we are in Cebu that long. Whoa, water lilies are beautiful but this time a nuisance. Sayang no one harvest it and turn ito useful thing.

Yes ymmom, your welcome, I am just a representative of us all. Five years na pala, feeling ko parang last year lang kayo nawala kasi may gadgets para we can still communicate in a daily basis, grateful for them.
True, in Pampanga they make this into bags or baskets but here I don't know someone who is using them for a livelihood project. Joseph even commented the other day, If only this is edible siguro wala kang makikitang water lilies dito sa ilog, ubos kaagad!

Super duper dame nyu pong energy everyday ate, lalo dito sa Busy as a bee monday mopo. You deserve a massage too at si kuya jo. Ang ganda na nga puntod ni nanay ang linis and ma happy tlga sya s gold. Kuddos po tlga sainyu ate @aidelei 💛

ahahaha, Heavenly Father is our strength kaya siguro marami kaming powers. Grateful for the strength and guidance coming from him. OO nga eh wala na ka dito kaya wala na nagmamassage sa amin... hehe.... Yes, wel masayang masaya si nanay sa gold nyang lapida.

You are so very energetic ate.. 😊😊

He is truly a man of his words etong si hubby.
Bz as a bee tlaga!
