BEOS at Sea #5

in #beos5 years ago

How do you spell jurisdictional agility? B-E-O-S !!
BEOS is still signing blocks in "International Waters, Jurisdiction NONE" and is currently very close to the equator on it's way to Hawaii.

If you are wanting more information, check out Stan Larimer's latest post

Moorea is a small island that is a vacation destination with many resorts. Most of my photos didn't turn out here, but I did get my photo error figured out the following day in Bora Bora.

Moorea has amazing white sand, lush foliage, and terrific warm weather. I always look forward to the fantastic snorkeling here.

Shown below is part of the coral ring that circles the entire island, which makes for fantastic snorkeling!

If you visit Tahiti, you would be missing out if you didn't travel to one of the islands like Moorea that has the stunning water.

Our boat broke down on the way back from our snorkeling excursion which was not a problem, it simply made the trip more memorable!

Happy tourists!

I hope you enjoyed my post, and I look forward to sharing BEOS at SEA daily with you, which is a perfect cruise for many days of "International Water"..."Jurisdiction, NONE"!!

That looks like an amazing spot to be. I bet the night photos would be spectacular, too, if you had a tripod with. Not much light pollution out there, I'd bet. I don't suppose they need any bilingual photographers out that way? lol

What happened to the boat? They didn't run out of gas, I hope! That would be hilarious, though. Did they have someone come guide you back, or were they able to fix it? Bust out the sails?

Nice photos—glad to see you got the photography error figured out!

I didn't bring my tripod with me dang it! I keep wanting to try getting a photo of the milky way. Have you ever done that?

Don't know what happened to the boat, there was a whole lot of French swearwords flying lol. Of course, the whole boatload of people were razzing the captain of the boat (looks like you have to paddle us backkkk, who's getting fired for not putting gas in?) It was fun :) They eventually did get one engine running.

I just remember in Phuket a local guy making us a trip with a canoe and whispering the Titanic song! :)

lol, I too love Phuket, but too funny with the titanic song!

So you can cash out your crypto and avoid paying taxes? Sweet! :D

Lol looks like being a BEOS advocate surely takes you to some beautiful spots in the world, gosh that water looks so inviting

The water is incredibly beautiful! Thanks for looking at my post :)

"Our boat broke down on the way back from our snorkeling excursion which was not a problem, it simply made the trip more memorable!"

That's a fantastic attitude! :D

I grew up snorkeling in the Virgin Islands... Love it! :) I'm trying to imagine an entire island circled by a coral ring... Awesome! :D

Thanks for more beautiful photos, and for continuing to sign BEOS blocks in international waters... :D

😄😇😄

@creatr

The Virgin Islands, now that's beautiful too! I'm so happy snorkeling and never want to get out. I sunburnt my butt really bad the last time we were in Moorea so I'm VERY thankful for waterproof suntan lotion lol
We used to scuba dive a lot, but I find that I prefer snorkeling because it's just as beautiful, it's easier, and you don't have to think about things like running out of air!

"... you don't have to think about things like running out of air!"

LOL!

I suppose you could always get a rebreather instead of a normal SCUBA... I've read of systems that provide air for many hours in a compact package. However, you still have to watch your depth.

When I was a kid, I was perpetually fascinated by Jaques Cousteau's adventures and projects. I would wear out the issues of National Geographic that he appeared in...

I forgot about those rebreathers!! Thanks, I'll give that a try. I don't know anyone that has tried it, but I bet it's terrific.

Jaques Cousteau certainly has had some incredible adventures that were loved by all!
