Behind The Photo: Beach and Jazz concert in Pernambuco (Recife).

in #behindthephoto4 years ago (edited)

This week, my participation in the contest will be a little bit "shy" - in the number of photos... let's say so - but no less important because I'm going to talk about one of my unscheduled trips (the ones I end up deciding to do motivated by a specific impulse), something which I really like to do because they represent great opportunities for me to know myself a little better in the sense of being more courageous and challenging myself more (because I am usually more methodical on long trips).

This time, I will take you to a small piece of Pernambuco (Recife), which is located in the northeast region here in my country and is considered the capital of the capitals among the group of states that make up this Brazilian geographic space because of its great importance responsible for high indices in the country's financial sector in its general context.

On one of my visits to Recife, I was able to check out a great pocket show (more private shows and with a slightly smaller audience) with an excellent Jazz trio. But before I got to that memorable night, I allowed myself to enjoy a day at the beach (with a sunny day and great weather) so that the trip wouldn't be so short (even if I was just passing through the state, after all, I was headed for another final destination) because it doesn't matter how small my trip is, I always make it worthwhile.

Boa Viagem beach is one of the most popular and certainly one of the most sought after by all tourists and residents of the state itself. The reasons are obvious: the natural beauty of the place draws a lot of attention, the color of the water is very beautiful and there is also a well-aligned structure on the boardwalk, creating uniformity in the layout of the small kiosks (a kind of outdoor "pub") that are a great option to eat something in the middle of the tour.

Unfortunately, my cell phone battery was almost exhausted and I was unable to record so many moments (but everything is very well kept in my memory). But I think the photo below can give a dimension of how wide and beautiful this beach is... A beautiful landscape that provides a lot of fun, relaxing moments and once again proves how great nature is, its importance and influence in our lives (whether you're an admirer of it or not).

Located in one of the noblest and wealthiest regions of the state, this tourist spot is a must for any tourist coming to Recife because this is one of the postcards of that city. However, it is best to be careful because there is a constant risk of shark attacks on this beach and the alerts for this type of danger are very visible by the signs scattered on the sandy strips of the beach.

At night, I went to a concert hall with a very intimate feel (in addition to a great service) and was able to contemplate an authentic Jazz show (which, unfortunately, is a very unknown and relatively undervalued musical genre here in Brazil). The decoration of the place caught my attention because the details - even the smallest of them - were very rich and this made it possible for me to breathe and feel the atmosphere of the place with more property, more intensity and when a place can do this with me so natural way, it’s because it has become special to me.

The trio of independent musicians and singers was extremely inspired, playing, singing many classics of this musical genre always impeccably and also interacting with the audience frequently (including asking for suggestions of songs that we would like to hear... and they do it everything on the basis of improvisation!). A real class of quality and friendliness that many of the great and famous artists, with all the money they have, are unable to buy because it is not part of their essence.

As it could not be otherwise, the approval on the part of those who were lucky enough to be there, contemplating such an excellent presentation and feeling such a personal vibe mixed with various instructive moments, was immediate and the enthusiasm was increasing each time as the show went on through the night. The precision in the chords, the harmonies and the tuned voices sounded like a real spectacle to my ears and without a doubt, I can say that tonight will always be remembered as something memorable.

Finally, after the show was over my stomach started to growl (haha!) I decided to stop at a pasta house (very simple, but very recommendable) and have a quick snack before hitting the road and going on my way. The flavor of the spices was very striking. The chicken and meat strips with some spices were great and got even better with the sour taste of the lemon... While the shrimp pastry (here in Brazil, it's called "pastel") was just amazing and as I love shrimp, I had to repeat the dish soon after.

It doesn't matter if a trip is long or short, planned or decided at the last minute... In my view, what really matters is how you take advantage of each of these opportunities that come your way, because it is moments like these that later will become memorable memories in your life and in the lives of those close to you on these adventures.
