Even More Unbalanced is a 10% Triple IPA brewed by Equilibrium Brewery in Middletown, New York. Equilibrium was opened by Ricardo Petroni and Peter Oates, two MIT graduates that follow scientific principles to produce delicious brews. After conducting many experiments, they ended up with recipes that create the Equilibrium beer we see today. The 'Even More Unbalanced' is touted as being the hoppiest beer ever brewed at Equilibrium to date. It was made in collaboration with Evil Twin Brewing. The Even More Unbalanced is brewed using a blend of Citra, Galaxy, Denali, Mosaic, and Amarillo hops to create a potent and juicy Triple IPA.

The Can

The Even More Unbalanced was sold in 16oz pints. As you can see in the photo above, the can was definitely cool. The right side of the can glistened with colors depending on the light angle, whereas the left side of the can was black and white. Certainly unbalanced, yet a great vessel to deliver quality beer.

The Beer

I poured the Even More Unbalanced into a glass and I was thrilled to see the hazy, bright color. This beer was a little bitter due to the massive amount of hops, but the juiciness absolutely overpowered the alcohol content. At 10% alcohol/volume these things could get dangerous. The Even More Unbalanced was a ridiculously tasty beer. It was fluffy and very drinkable. I got to try this beer thanks to my friend Tyler who picked it up at the brewery in New York. I definitely look forward to trying more beers from Equilibrium Brewery in the future.
