Stroh‘s Premium Lager
So I was looking for something lighter this weekend and ended up picking up a six pack of Stroh’s premium lager.
For those of you who don’t know. The Stroh Brewery Company was a beer brewery located in Detroit, Michigan. In addition to their own Stroh's brand, the company produced or bought the rights to several other brands including Goebel, Schaefer, Schlitz, Augsburger, Erlanger, Old Style, Lone Star, Old Milwaukee, Red River, and Signature, as well as manufacturing Stroh's Ice Cream. The company was taken over and broken up in 2000, but some of its brands continued to be made by the new owners. The Stroh's brand is currently owned and marketed by Pabst Brewing Company, except in Canada where the Stroh brands are owned by Sleeman Breweries.

Now that you have a brief history lesson. Let’s get to the review. The beer pours light amber to pale yellow true to the lager style. The taste is mild and refreshing. There is loads of malt and a light bitter taste. The carbonation is high giving it a refreshing feeling. Overall, it’s what you expect in a lager.
