Galway Brewing Company Vignette Summer Session Ale 🍻

Calling all sports lovers

It's been a while since I took part in beersaturday folks. There are a few reasons, but I'll just elaborate on one of them. I started a blog on sports blogging platform Scorum last month and it's taking up a lot of my time. In one short month I've accumulated almost as much SCR monetary value as Steemit which I've slogged at for 270 days! What's more my upvote is now worth $0.50 over on scorum vs $0.01 here on Steemit so I can really make a difference with curation. It only went live in July, so you still have a chance to get in near the ground floor.

If you like sport, which is quite likely if you like beer, then you've got to check it out. My blog can be found here if you want to connect with me and I'd be glad to give you an upvote or 2 to get you started.

The Info

Brewery: Galway Brewing Company
ABV: 3.5%
Bottle: 500ml

As the name suggests its very sessionable, but it is missing some body and balance and would really benifit from higher ABV. If this was a double IPA, I think it would work much better.

It's hoppy and laced with fresh tropical fruits and rich piney notes, but it just lacks something.

It poured a nice Pale straw colour and a lovely white head formed and laced fairly well.

The bottle mentions excellent mouthfeel and I'd agree the initial mouthful and aroma is good, but it just misses texture and all over feel. Vignette is hopped with Idaho 7, Simcoe & Centennial, & fermented with wine yeast.

The Grade

3/5

Thanks to @detlev for the contest.

Peace out.

Sort:

3/5 is solid for a season ale. At 3.5% ABV you really could drink this all day so it true to the style. Great review my friend. Cheers!
