Today is the day - Tasting my Imperial Stout!!
This afternoon I will be tasting my Imperial Stout for the first time!
I'm so excited, my Imperial Stout is finally ready for tasting after fermenting for two weeks. It showed great promise when I pulled it from the Fastmerment tank into the cornelius keg a week ago and I hope that the taste and aroma has developed even further now! The CO2 will have balanced the sweetness of the malt as well! I will of course report back when I have had the first sip, I'm still at work so it will have to wait for a little longer...
Cool! I have always wanted to brew my own beer. Following - let us know how it was!
Absolutely, I promise!
Awesome! Make sure to save a few bottles for the winter. Imperial stouts are for the cold and dark fall and winter. Cheers!
You are absolutely right an imperial Stout is a little too powerful for a late summer afternoon but i plan to consume the better part of the keg in december-january, it will have mellowed nicely by then!

Oh, you really got me into having an Imperial stout now. I have one in my fridge, but wanted to wait till another weekend to try it as I had a bit too many beers this Friday :P Will try to stay strong!
