Dannywrites:- 🌟 NEVER YOU COMPARE YOURSELF WITH OTHERS 🌟
👋 Opening Greetings
Hello beautiful people of Steemit! 💫
It’s another wonderful moment to share something deep, real, and true from the heart. Today, I want to talk about something that most of us struggle with, knowingly or unknowingly — comparison.
Yes, that silent killer of joy. That little voice that tells you, “You’re not doing enough… look at them!”
Sit down, relax, and let’s walk this emotional path together. ❤️
🌱 A Little Story
I remember a time some years back when I used to compare my life to everyone around me.
I had a friend named Chisom — smart, tall, confident, and always the center of attention. Wherever he went, people noticed him. He had better clothes, a nicer phone, and even spoke more fluently than I did.
Each time I saw him, I would quietly shrink inside.
I would go home thinking, “Maybe I’m just not good enough.”
I started losing interest in things that used to make me happy — drawing, writing, even talking to people.
One day, my mom noticed it. She sat beside me and said softly:
“My son, flowers don’t compete with each other. They just bloom in their own time.”
That line stuck with me.
I realized that no matter how hard I tried, I could never become Chisom — because I wasn’t meant to.
I was designed differently, for a different purpose, with a different path.
🌤️ The Truth We Forget
We live in a world where social media makes everyone look perfect.
You scroll through your feed and see people traveling, buying cars, posting perfect pictures, and you begin to wonder, “What am I doing with my life?”
But let me tell you the truth:
What you see online is not always reality.
Behind that smiling picture, someone might be crying. Behind that “success post,” there might be years of silent struggle.
We all have different timings in life.
The fact that someone got there first doesn’t mean you’re failing — it simply means your season hasn’t arrived yet.
🌺 Your Journey is Yours Alone
Life is not a race.
It’s a journey — one filled with lessons, waiting, and growth.
When you start comparing yourself with others, you destroy your peace. You begin to live for validation instead of purpose.
You begin to copy others instead of discovering you.
Let me tell you something real — the moment I stopped comparing myself with others, I started growing.
I began to notice my strengths.
I realized I had a gift for writing, for motivating, for creating joy through words.
And guess what? People started noticing me too.
🕊️ Focus on Becoming, Not Competing
You’re not in competition with anyone.
Your only competition should be who you were yesterday.
Wake up every morning and ask yourself,
“How can I become a better version of me today?”
It might be through learning, forgiving, saving, praying, or even just resting.
Every small step counts.
The moment you focus on your own lane, peace and progress will follow.
Never you compare yourself with others — because your story is written differently.
The sun and the moon don’t shine at the same time, yet both are important.
You are also important. You are also needed. You are also enough. 💫
So next time that voice whispers “look at them,”
Smile and say,
“I’ll look at me instead.”
Because you are your biggest project, and you deserve your own attention.
Thanks for reading, dear friends ❤️
