Starting a cryptocurrency project designed to stamp out poverty seemed like an alien idea when it was started a few years ago. Since that time, a lot changed with crytpocurrency. Blockchain is not so foreign to many people. The business world is starting to take notice which helps when talking to people about the Manna Project.

There were some statements made by the head of the CFTC earlier this month that show how far things are moving.

Blockchain is more than technology: it is an advance that reaches out into every aspect of life. We could use Blockchain to address the most basic, the most primal problems on our planet: corruption, income distribution, poverty, food, and health care. And, the fear billions of people experience everyday as they try to survive.

We interpret this an affirmation for what we are doing with Manna. Our goal is to target these global issues. We feel most of them have their roots in poverty. A lack of money tends to snowball into other problems. This is true on the individual and community level.

It is refreshing to see others realizing the potential of blockchain and cryptocurrency as tools in the fight against generational poverty.

We are going to do our best to keep pushing forward in our efforts to combat something that humanity tolerated for far too long.
