NYC Quiet Five Day Stretch Ahead
NYC Quiet Five Day Stretch Ahead
Good morning everyone. We're having a quick taste of January with the cold that's paying a visit today, but other than that, things are relatively quiet. Dry weather is expected for the next 5 days, until our next chance of rain somewhere between late Sunday night and Tuesday.
SATELLITE
Our weekend is holding strong with no prospect of rain until late night on Sunday. However, a reinforcing shot of cold air will make it unseasonably cold again on Saturday, with breezy conditions and highs in the upper 30's to near 40.
We bounce back slightly on Sunday, but clouds will begin to increase and temps will still be well below average. Look for highs in the mid 40's.
Our next shot of rain all hinges on a possible coastal system and how close it gets. Regardless, this is a rain-maker, with no prospect of snow for NYC and Long Island. We'll keep an eye on what develops, if anything at all, and hone it in nice and accurate for you in a few days.
Please note that with regards to any tropical storms or hurricanes, should a storm be threatening, please consult your local National Weather Service office or your local government officials about what action you should be taking to protect life and property.
