The biggest funding announcement for Victorian Indian community 'so far'

If elected, the Victorian Government led by Hon. Matthew Guy would provide “Five Million Dollars” in funding to establish an Indian Precinct in Cranbourne.

This is to-date the biggest funding announcement for the Victorian Indian community. The announcement was made by Mr Matthew Guy while speaking at the Indian Independence Day celebrations organised by the Indian Consulate in Melbourne.

A leafy suburb in the Outer South East suburbs, Cranbourne is home to pretty large Victorian Indian community. It is one of the most marginal seats leading up to the November 2018 Victorian state elections. Most likely the party which goes on to win the seat of Cranbourne would be forming the next government in Victoria.

Cranbourne socialite Mrs Anchal Agarwal has welcomed the announcement. She had raised the issue of Cranbourne Indian Precinct with Mr Matthew Guy during the Shadow Cabinet Meeting held at Cranbourne Race Course last year.
