I shot this big old 1940s era Lincoln Zephyr on an abandoned car lot in the Mojave desert. The car had a spotlight so I was thinking that this was possibly a former law enforcement vehicle maybe for detectives or FBI! The lot looked like a private car collection that had gotten out of hand... you know like a hoarder with a tow truck. There's probably a good story how all these vehicles ended up here but I'm not privy to it!
Black and white is a great rust neutralizer!
I photographed the Lincoln Zephyr with my Canon 5D camera and 70-200 mm lens.

You really have a very good eye for detail. You are probably right that that car was a law enforcement car.
This reminds me of the show where Sienfeld would take his friends out for coffee in really old but pricey one of a kind cars.

I imagine the men in black leaving that vehicle of that time. What does not combine much in the photo is the model 80's that is behind.

Love the colors more than the black and white here.. as if the car had been a teal like color in its prime. The hood with the perfect coffee rich rust just somehow shows me that the car had lived. Are there pictures of the insides as well? Are the seats ragged and torn?
Yes the color works well here... no seats and no window glass. It could be converted into one of those tiny homes!

An old car will always be a reason to take a picture. It is my humble opinion, good that you share it with us.
Those are abandoned vehicles.. But after 100 or more than 100 years those vehicles are representing tradition... @otage
