ASW Contest No. 13: "Stairs" Official Entry
It's untellin' how many times I've drove by this building in my life. I've wondered for years what it was, and no one I asked ever knew. I finely got enough sense to use a search engine, and after a little research found out this is one of three schools built by the WPA in Magoffin County in the late 30's. At least one other of the three is still standing. This set of ruins in the community of Dry Bread looks ancient in person, with the trees and other plants growing inside. I'm going to back and get some more pictures, and do some more reading for a future post.
