The New Moon in Pisces formed on Saturday -- March 17, 2018. The last days of Winter are winding down ... and Spring peeks mischievously over the horizon. Never mind what the calendars say. We're finishing up the old year and moving toward the new one. The real new one ... according to Nature and the cosmic alignments.
When The Sun and The Moon meet in Pisces ... and the New Moon in Pisces graces the sky, we complete yet another circle of our journey on life's creative spiral. The time for completion, summing up and putting things to rest has come again.
What began last spring with the fiery initiative of Aries dissolves at last in the watery mists of Pisces. It returns back to the raw materials of elemental emotion ... and prepares to begin once more.

As Winter eases its grip to make way for Spring, the days and nights begin to equalize again. The atmosphere brings rest, quiet, serenity, gentleness and contemplation.
It's like the long sigh of satisfaction when a hard job is done ... the drowsy, dreamy, well-earned rest you can relax into and enjoy as you listen to the soft inner whispers of what can be done next time with all this knowledge, experience and the improved skills you've gained.
Pisces is the deepest of the Water Signs.

Religious teachings and wise men through the ages have recommended deliberate, scheduled times of rest and introspection for spiritual, emotional and physical renewal. It's part of a healthy, rewarding, productive life. In the creative process, this phase is known as "incubation." Something new is forming, despite the outer appearance of "nothing happening." Once again, we learn ... appearances can be deceiving.
As the last, most sensitive and most malleable of the Water signs, Pisces contains an amazing breadth of spiritual and creative energy. Spiritual as in mystical, loving, tolerant, forgiving, understanding, accepting, and inclusive. Creative as in visionary, inspirational, imaginative, artistic. The weaver of illusions and dreams.
Both skills have the power to heal, encourage, revitalize, uplift, comfort and console those who are weary, exhausted, injured, and lost. If it sounds like Pisces carries a special pocket full of miracles, I wouldn't argue with that for a moment.

If you don't ... well, this is one place you can learn. We all have to start somewhere ... because we aren't born knowing this stuff. Meanwhile, if you've never seen your horoscope ... and don't have a clue how to work with it, maybe it's time to find out. There are lots of "chart services" on the internet -- some of whom produce decent, readable charts "for free" and some are so awful and confusing that even I can't read them easily -- and I've worked with charts for decades.
One extremely user-friendly chart site is here: AstroLabe. I recommend them if you want a simple, easy-to-read chart. I think they even give a reasonable little interpretive reading of your horoscope as part of the package. You'll need to know your birth information -- day, month, year, time and geographical place. Without all that your chart will have limited accuracy.

Although sometimes the background pictures in our visual essays support the topic and text, they don't always. Sometimes the connection is clear. Sometimes it's symbolic and subtle. Sometimes, there's no connection at all.
The scenes depict landscapes and natural features, buildings and wildlife. They were chosen because they show something lovely or interesting ... or simply because the photo appealed to me.
Our spectacular and remarkable planet is changing at astonishing speed. Rarely are these changes for the better. Few people seem to know ... or care ... or have the will and power to do anything about this. It may not be long before the world humans have known and lived in for centuries is forever lost. We certainly won't be able to make repairs as fast as we destroyed it.
So a few years ago I began collecting pictures of the way things were ... and still are for now, a record of the beauty we have while it is still ours to love and honor.
The photos here are part of that collection, with sincere thanks to the artists who saw these moments ... and with their cameras ... preserved them. All of us at Enchanted Spirit are profoundly grateful to them for their generosity and skill ... and for the added grace, depth and dimension their art brings to ours.

Cherry blossoms have started to bloom, the sun starts to peak from the shadows a few minutes earlier each day, and the wind feels a little bit warmer, we've made it through the winter!!
I am glad to see winter losing its grip. I am ready for the warmer weather and blooming flowers of spring!
