What is going on in France?

France has had 18 changes of regime in the last 234 years - 6 republics, two separate Empires headed by Napoleon and Napoleon III, plus the restoration of the Bourbon monarchy at various times, and the infamous Vichy regime which was an ally of the Nazis.

The only astrology chart that works well, is the one for the start of the revolution: the storming of the Bastille at 1:30 p.m. on 14th July 1789.

In the chart, Jupiter and Uranus are in conjunction (a conjunction that also occurs in the Arab spring of 2011). And Pluto is in Aquarius.

France is once again in upheaval, due to anger at how Macron ignores Parliament and rules by decree. There is much talk about the Fifth Republic constitution concentrating too much power in the President's hands, and the need for a Sixth Republic.

The first thing to note is that transiting Uranus is at 18 Taurus, exactly square the revolution's Pluto at 18 Aquarius. Pluto is the ruler of the French Scorpio ascendant. (The ascendant is the personality, and Scorpio explains the French obsession with sex and death - they even describe orgasms as le petit mort, the small death).

France is a Plutonian country - transformation through violent power struggles.

Transiting Pluto has entered Aquarius and is starting to oppose the revolution's Jupiter-Uranus conjunction. The opposition will become exact in 2026, a year before the next French Presidential elections. It's possible Macron will be the last president of the Fifth Republic.
