Perhaps the best known of all Russian composers, Tchaikovsky had a genius for creating melodies and a mastery of musical structure that allowed him to reach directly to the hearts of his listeners. Tchaikovsky revitalised ballet music, giving it stature and dignity. Except for the works of Minkus and Delibes, most ballet music was a series of mediocre tunes strung together in the flimsiest manner. With The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and The Nutcracker, ballet music was raised to its highest level.†

ahh. a classic. you did this on midi? what software did you use? :)
I perfomred Sleeping Beauty Waltz on a Korg MicroArranger. I'm not sure about the name of the sound engine. It seems to be a subset of other Korg sound engines such as the PA 50, PA 60, PA 80 etc. I recorded it as a WAV file on a recorder and edited it on Audacity.
oh cool. I could see that it took quite an effort. kudos and keep those songs coming :)
A great classic! Lots of ballet music stand alone as great music in their own right!
