Princess Leia Promotes Steemit - Original Artwork
After receiving some new pencils for Christmas, I knew I wanted to get back into drawing portraits. I had the idea to draw celebrities with a Steem logo incorporated into the image, so that it might help to promote Steemit.
The untimely death of Carrie Fisher inspired me to draw her as Princess Leia for the first one, though I plan to do a new one every week if I can find the time.
I think I messed up the eyes a little which is perhaps the most important part, so it doesn't look as much like her as I would have hoped. I thought I would share it nonetheless.

This one didn't turn out perfect, but I want to say that all images in the celebrities promote Steemit series will be free for you to use or share anywhere you like. They won't do a very good job of promoting the site if they remain only on this platform.

I think if I have to google to find out who it is, and it turns out to be an image I have never seen, it kinda defeats the point of what I;m trying to do for steemit!

i guess i'd seen him so many times it didn't occur to me he wouldn't be recognizable, and with the recent star wars thing... anyway, never mind, i'll see if i can think of someone more recent. i'm not much on popular culture these days. this might take a minute.
Ohh. I didn't realise. Yeah, I just think it would be better if it was someone very well known, even if it is a cartoon or computer game character. If you think of any suggestions let me know, but if not I have a few in mind anyway.

That's because Leila is Italian for Leia, which is her given name. If you're going to attempt to correct someone, you should really be sure that you're correct yourself before doing so. Otherwise, you look like a bit of a cunt.
