San Antonio Decorative Porch Post - Original drawing from travel sketchbook

San Antonio's architecture is rich with all types of styles. Porches in the older part of town are also common, many boasting two stories of complex wood work. As I was trying to capture the spirit of the city I drew several detail vignettes. This is one more in this series of sketches. Using a brush pen and a fine-tip pen I attempted to capture with energetic marks the structures and light effects of these simple scenes.
