Definitely Aenima by Tool .
Released is 1996 and still to this day a great album to listen to .Plus with nothing new done by Tool in over a decade i can say that the trip to Mars is more then covered.
I would probably take Oversteps by Autechre. It has both calming and exciting music, and seems fitting for a lonely (head-)trip to a distant planet.
