Commissioned portrait of Engr. Adetayo
This is the third of three portraits commissioned by the same couple. They had me make one personal portrait each for both of them and one couple portrait too, kept me busy for over two weeks. Right after pictures of this particular portrait I will share them as a whole later in this post.
Progress shots...
As usual I started from top to bottom, use some a lot of charcoal powder to render the forehead...
A new approach I've been taking recently, doing the nose and mouth straight down for at before the rest of the face...
Finished adding layers of the face and neck with charcoal powder and a brush, then want back in with a pointed eraser and pencils to add skin details...
I really love this collar, had to tweak some things from the reference photo to get it to my taste though...
And that's that about that...so I went to get all three framed and ready for delivery
Ready to move!!!
Thanks for following these pieces. Feel free to share your thoughts. I'm going to share highlights of the whole process of these three portraits from the drawing to the delivery in my next post (a video)
