Ring 16, SyrinxsteemCreated with Sketch.

Too much work lately, no time for more elaborate posts.

This fractal reminded me of a tunnel (or a pit!) inside a great futuristic building; most of the time, when I contemplate a futuristic scene, the following lyrics of Rush echo in my mind, describing a future in which the arts are controlled by the Priesthood of Syrinx, especially the art of music.

We've taken care of everything
The words you hear, the songs you sing
The pictures that give pleasure to your eyes
It's one for all, all for one
We work together, common sons
Never need to wonder how or why
We are the priests
Of the Temples of Syrinx
Our great computers
Fill the hollowed halls
We are the priests
Of the Temples of Syrinx
All the gifts of life
Are held within our walls

Rush, "The Temples of Syrinx" (in youtube)

I urge you to check out the video clip, it is short and contains a comic with action according to the lyrics. Well, the references go even deeper, with Syrinx being a nymph in Greek Mythology that the goat-god Pan fell in love with and named his flute in her honor.

It looks like a giant eye to me :) I like the fractured structural motifs that repeated around it <3

Yeah, but the title "Eye" was taken by the previous post ;) It was those motifs that made me go in the structure direction, a futuristic temple similar to the huge cathedrals, with enormous corridors connecting the halls.
