Hello, Steemians!
I am back on track with the next pile of random street art photography, dedicated to Athens for the third time.

If you have seen some of previous posts you by now would have known that Athens is a special place for graffiti culture. As I have mentioned here —> https://steemit.com/graffiti/@misskate/random-street-art-11-athens-greece-edition
and over here —> https://steemit.com/art/@misskate/random-street-art-12-athens-greece-edition
the city is full with all different styles and patterns.
As you can see on this photo even the store of the famous cosmetics brand “NYX” is painted all over. This was one of the coolest surprises for me because I like their products and I am familiar with all the activities they are participating in. I was mesmerized by the work, the style and the color palette that is used there!

From what I see in that graffiti painting the animal over there is obviously an owl and to me it looks like a totem. It is believed that the owl as a totem animal belongs to those who find wisdom in silence and that the owl totem is one of discernment. Here and on the next few photos you will see the Monastiraki Flea Market with starting point on Ifestou street. We went there on a Sunday morning because I was well prepared from the net and I knew that it’s the best time to visit because the locals also go there and buy most of the cool stuff really early.

Tiny streets and squares were all filled with tables, carpets and even bedclothes on the ground. All of them piled with basically everything you can think of - new and shiny, old and vintage or just dirty and rusty things.

Some of them even settled in garages with funky lampoons hanging from the ceiling.
Most of the people didn’t wanted to be photographed so for this one I went really fast but he became grumpy when he noticed me.

It is such a blast as a cultural experience that it would be shame if you are in Athens and you don’t get to visit it!
Finding treasures waiting to be discovered is part of the fun!
I for an example was impressed by the amount of old advertising posters in that store! They were so many...

Those two were the ones that impressed me the most as one self-respecting PR student who studied about advertising history in the university! :D

That was all for today!
Stay wise,
Stay bright,
Stay art!
