How Could Art Community Let This Happen?

Alright art enthusiasts, let's have a debate here. This particular topic has been bugging me for quite some time and as an artist I feel not only offended but also infuriated by the sheer ignorance in modern art these days. Before moving forward, please look at the images below and their value.

The first "painting" has been sold for that record price that you just saw and even after 4 years, my mind still cannot comprehend how that happened. Seriously, even though art is everywhere, that particular example is objectively non-creative on every facet you could think of. It's a pure zero.

Now, take a look at the lovely fantasy piece of art below and its strikingly low cost. Clearly, there is a solid composition, awesome colour palette, dynamic and storytelling. It breathes life and actual artistry. Something that art really stands for. It speaks to people through a number of ways and all of them require a specific skill. No exception.
