Soul Masks (handcut collage series)
Soul Masks is a collage series i created six years ago. It was a period when i was still experimenting with my stained-glass technique, using mostly nature photos and bold coloured backgrounds. As a basis i used portraits of friends, where tried to match the landscape photos to their character traits. It was an interesting concept series with very interesting results, showing the great potential that collage has an art medium.

These are amazing! Each one is very impressive, and seems to hide a unique story on its own, someone has to write a short story (or seven) about them! My favorite is Mask of Wonders, sharp contrasts, seems to float out of its prison towards a higher goal. And Mask of Rage is great, its destiny is to go straight to the BBQ!

the masks of Fate and Rage are my favorites. these are great! i've been messing about with my own collage projects recently (as a novice), but i really dig watching you post these up on the regular...
