Theater is my love. Very simple story

in #art6 years ago

In our provincial town theater life is quite intense. There are only three local theaters, but for us this is enough, because the city is small. There are also entertainment centers where artists from other cities regularly come on tour, and they are also in demand. Orlovchane love theater. And I'm among them, for me the theater is better, stronger than watching movies. It is interesting to watch live actors, empathizing with them, rejoicing, all the more. Yes, and theatrical situation itself attracts, as if for a while you find yourself in another world, far from the city bustle. The theater charges with positive energy, that’s for sure, it’s self-tested.

I was lucky, I live near the theaters, I can walk only 10 minutes to each of the three. They are not located nearby, but in different directions, but I live in the very center between them, so I use this convenience. My husband has stopped walking with me for 10 years, a friend rarely agrees, she prefers to visit famous actors more. But I also love ours, so I often go to theaters alone. And I'm not the only one, not the majority, of course, but alone, too, people attend theaters, they are striking in the auditorium, at the entrance / exit.

And what difference does the company go to the theater, when the action begins, you see no one near you, but you get into the plot. You come to yourself when the performance is already over. Watching a performance is not listening to performers of songs, music, where between each piece you can discuss it quickly. The performance is a holistic action, from which you will not be distracted, except in intermissions. Especially when the play of actors is sincere, heartfelt.

Yet most of the time I visit the theater "Free Space".

Although it is considered a theater for children and young people, it is attended by people of different ages. The repertoire corresponds to that - for any age.

The halls are always full, whenever I visit. For very young children, primary and secondary school age performances put in the daytime. For older students and adults, they begin at 19 o'clock.

Back in 1799 it was the building of the city duma. In 1976 the building was given to the theater of the young spectator (TYUZ). In 1990, the theater received the romantic name "Free Space" (Orel), corresponding to the repertoire.

The last time I visited the theater 4 days ago. It has long been going to see the play "Very Simple Story" based on the play by the Kiev playwright Maria Lado.

Hall as always full. The plot is really simple, many times similar stories happened and happen in life. A boy and a girl in love, their families are socially unequal, although they both live in the village. The girl has a hardworking wealthy family. The guy's father is an alcoholic, after the death of his wife for many years he was drinking his sorrow, not a penny at home. The girl became pregnant, the father insists on an abortion, no marriage, he does not need such relatives, and her daughter still needs to learn.

It seems a banal plot. But everything happens in the barn where the pets live. Actors are not disguised in them, just play their roles, but how!

On the left, in a red scarf "horse", next to a hair curler a pregnant "cow", at the top a bright colorful "rooster".

Yes, yes, strangely enough. The youth chose a shed as a place for their meetings, otherwise you won't hide anywhere from a strict father in the village. Their relationship becomes known to animals, because they are in their sight. In the performance of fabulous elements. Animals understand the speech of people, draw their own conclusions, they have their own thoughts, reasonings, they communicate with each other. Good cow, wise old horse, dreamy pig. Dear yard dog visits them. Narcissus cock periodically peeks, showing his mind and knowledge to other animals.

How to heat up the plot, when the animals learn that the girl is forced to have an abortion. They are very upset, worried, everyone is ready to die (just like that). Why die? They decided that a guardian angel should appear so that another human life would arise. And how upset they were when they learned that the death of an animal would not help. And how they, despite all the actions of the owner, sincerely love and appreciate him and forgive everything to him. People have something to learn from animals - their kindness, compassion.

In the center, the alcoholic father, who is also a visitor to the neighbour's barn, steals someone else's alcohol.

Do you think that I have already told the whole story? You are mistaken, only about a third of it or even less, the main outcome in front and I will not open it. The plot is deep in semantic content, strong, makes you worry, ponder, draw conclusions, looks at one go. About 10 minutes after the start of the performance, you immerse yourself so badly, you no longer feel that you are in the auditorium. All attention is directed to the scene, not to miss a single word. The play of theater actors "Free Space" is impressive, each in his own image is strong, sincere.

In a headdress, a fierce father, to his right a daughter is slightly visible.

In brown clothes mother of the girl.

The pig turned into an angel, because its owner, whom she loved so much, slaughtered in order to earn money for an abortion. Now, in this form, she visits her animal friends and tells them that she is not offended by her master.

The performance ended, the whole hall stood for a long time applauding the actors. Spectators of different ages imbued with action, it was visible on the faces, some had tears in their eyes, so deeply touched the plot, the game of actors. It should be noted that the audience was of different ages from schoolchildren (performance 12+) and to very old people. On the way to the locker room, I heard rave reviews from both children and adults. This is how a seemingly really quite simple story touched people. The performance, deeply felt, provoked a response.

I love going to theaters! :) I don't do it that often but when I do I enjoy it to the bits. I even visited the most important theater in Moscow :) that was a lovely experience.

You are lucky to live close to three theaters. It's nice of you to take us with you to one of them :) It's been my pleasure. I enjoyed the description of the play even though it does sound quite bizarre with animals included in this way. I wonder how it ended up :)

You did a great job with photos too! Thank you for sharing and have a great start of the week!

@delishtreats, many thanks for the warm review. I am very pleased.

You're right, theater has a lot of positive energy. It's fortunate that you live near an area that still keeps the theater active.

Thanks for sharing the story @galca

@anggreklestari, thank you very much for participating.

I so wish that my town, peck the entire nation I reside in had that compassion and love for theatre as it did fifty odd years ago. Nowadays people scoff at even the sight of highschool drama clubs and theatrical clubs. Guess the only saving grace is that there is one and that there's a movie theatre still standing which is only supported by mainstream films that attracts crowds regardless. Jesus Belizus.

Onto the post proper, let's talk about the history of the place. I love history in general, it just gives a perspective that things weren't always what they used to be and could be improved or diminished if given enough force to go a certain direction. This is no different and I love how the history of the town at least managed to keep something as this still alive and actually creative. (To forcefully relate this back to my experiences, I am grateful that when I had seen theatre performed in my highschool days that it was creative. Can't know for sure but will assume the creativity is still there in spite of declining popularity.) Also liked how it went from a political organ to a theatrical place, gives perspective to culture and politics which often gets ignored.

Second, let's talk about images since they look sharp, crisp, clear and full of detail. I like how I can see all the scenes of the theatre, in and out of performance. Also the fact it is so clear that I can actually tell what I am seeing and I feel like I can reach out to them. (Or seemingly be there, like staring at windows/portals to other places.) Also every picture that was taken (with or without excluding key scenes) just helps visualize the actual performance. On unto that, I must give bravo to actually act out the characters in the play and be purposefully still human-looking people. Just shows how people can easily find ways to reinterpret/replay a thing over and over again, that creativity definitely has a visually material form even when it doesn't exist as of yet but later. Just goes to show, once again, that theatre is that comfy medium for creativity to explode as well.

Lastly, all the text that is provided here makes me feel so whole inside to actually have the scenes depicted actually explained so I can actually understand the fotos (photos) better. Especially when we both connect at the end with "[t]he performance, deeply felt, provoked a response." Even if we split in the middle on the actual meaning (barring the Death of the Author ideology as correct philosophy - which I hate that ideology by the way), it still had gravitas to provoke us to type. Regardless, I like how the text is not jutting out and the sentences are readable that I don't have to debate (lest I misread something accidentally) the entire meaning of a single section. So yeah :^D

So happy theatre-going life and happy steeming!

@theironfelix, thank you very much for your attention to my post. I am happy that there are people who share the love of the theater. I am pleased that in our city not only the older generation, but also the youth attend theaters.

Welcome for the comment!~ ^^
Yeah, that's very nice to hear and see all about that as well.
Thanks again for sharing your experiences!~

I think that you will definitely have this opportunity, @shaheerbari.

what a emotional story👍👏

Dear @galca
great love your story for the theater! And you're right is phenomenal. I was lucky enough to be on stage a couple of times, a purely amateur level, and I assure you that the actors do their best to be as expressive and engaging as possible. Enter the part and try to become someone else, to feel his feelings in order to transmit them. There are people particularly gifted for this, their expressions of reading in the face and body spontaneously, without any effort. Others have to study and train a lot for a good result. And the group is essential because the atmosphere that is created on stage is unique. I do not know if you have already tried, but if you can follow some course and try this challenge !! Congratulations for your post and thanks for sharing with us!
