Firefly Face 16: Charcoal Drawing of PABLO PICASSO (Technique, materials and tips)
Pablo Picasso was one of the world's most renowned and famous artist of recent times. He is also one of those artists whose paintings are worth a fortune. Picasso is an inspiration to many artists around the world and as a tribute to the late artist, here's a drawing of him I made using charcoal and graphite pencil medium.
The materials I used for this drawing are;
•Pelican paper
•Graphite pencil
•Charcoal pencils
•Dry paint brush
•An eraser
First of all, I make a free hand sketch of his face using a graphite pencil
The next stage I the use of charcoal pencil to outline his facial features i.e his eyes, nose and lips. I also shaded his hat with the black charcoal
I begin my shading and blending using my paint brush
I shaded his cloth and muffler.
I added details to his face by concentrating on his wrinkles, hair and clothes.
