Ten Days of Reflection Challenge Day # 7 - “Mt Shasta”
“Ten Days of Reflection Day #7”
“Mt. Shasta”
i love this painting, was inspired by our trip to Mt. Shasta, Its a very positive place and energized my mind body and soul. The lake that you see here is called Lake Siskiyou the lake is so calm specially during winter, and the sky was clear that the reflection gives you a sense of “as above, so below” feeling, the air smells and feels so fresh, gigantic redwood trees everywhere, and its a good place to adventure seekers specially of spirituality
If you have noticed, i made a figure of an angel, with a halo and wings, as I believe that there alot of angelic beings In Mt Shasta. If you search the web, about its cloud formation, you will be amazed with its lenticular clouds, and it happens alot of times, i was also inspired by the art galleries that i visited in town, there you could see alot of photos of Mt Shasta with different cloud formations, im sure witnessing such great sight makes you want to capture it, either by photo or painting. As an artist you always want your creativity flowing continuously, although i have only been painting for more than 3 years, there are times that no matter what i do, if theres no inspiration then theres no creativity, sometimes it can even last for weeks, so when that happens i make short trips and connect myself with nature. But what i find more powerful to keep the inspiration and creativity flowing is by practicing meditation everyday, 15 to 30 mins a day is all it takes to have a dose of happiness and maintain you positivity all day, so you can deal with any stress so easily each day.
here is my image reflection of the redwood trees, the bridge, sky, clouds and Mt Shasta
I can't believe you have been painting for only 3 years!
I could probably spend the rest of my life trying to learn to paint and couldn't even paint one of these trees as good as you did :-)
I always like how you let your paintings reflect your spiritual impressions!
Thank you @replichara, I appreciate your comments all it takes is practice and dedication. The process itself is calming and meditative
Wow. It's hard to top that word... A photographer would be proud of those images, a painter has to be even more proud - and deservedly so. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks @viking-ventures appreciate your comments
Wow, this is probably the best oil on canvas painting that I've seen on here by far.
I am going to be running a curated art project and think it would be great to get you involved as a featured artist of the week coming up. We're filling up quickly so please come take a look!

Still one of my favorite paintings. This subtile angle wings and the halo. Just beautiful
Thank you @bronkong 🙏🏻
You are a very talented painter. That was very creative to make an angel to watch over Mt. Shasta. I have never been there, but it looks so peaceful - my kinda place!
