I just do all kinds of tweeks in some programs I use and when I like what I see, I save it as a numbered pattern...
To be honest: sometimes I don't even know exactly what I am doing... haha...
So just by working with the software, I get surprised by what I see and then tweek it until I like it, like a sculptor maybe.
