Working on my Technique
in my 12 years of work, trying out many different mediums and techniques (drawing, pastel, etching, wood cuts, stencils, spray paint, collage, acrylic paint, photography, photoshop, sculptures in wood and metal, vj-ing and mixed media combinations) I've made thousands of works. In this time I've also made a few hundred works with my father who is an artist as well.
In all that work, it happened maybe two or three times, that while making them, I stumbled upon a technique I'd never seen or heard of before. Those moments have been some of the biggest rushes in my career... It's a moment of pure creation... Sometimes they are years in the making, sometimes they are lucky breaks of trial and error, but they are moments where you are a real artist, no imitation!
The work above is one that I started some 4 years ago, recently I found a way to give her a huge upgrade... I can't give away to much of the magic, since it would take away from the experience. But what I can say is, this piece is not a digital, it's actually three physical layers.

I have a feeling this way of doing 3D collages might become one of my trademarks.

It looks great. Part of the joy of taking up any art form is mastering old techniques and discovering new ones.
I like to write and always get that rush when a new idea hits me or i link a story line together that has been frustrating me for a while. I imagine that you have the same feeling with this. Keep experimenting and do as much as you can.
