Good morning to all dear friends. Today I present a watercolor painting of a place very dear to me, that when I can visit with passion.
This place is a green and archaeological area on a coastal lake, thus bordering the sea and the countryside. It is a natural and historical site under the protection of the Circeo National Park, and for me it represents an inexhaustible source of inspiration and creativity.

Inside the green area, a beautiful English villa owned by a noble family was built towards the end of the 19th century.
In my wanderings I have made many watercolors of these subjects that continue to give me old and fairytale suggestions.
This work is a watercolor of very large dimensions and those who paint in watercolor know very well that it becomes very difficult to paint on large formats.
I tried to catch a moment of sunset in the west with the light exploding to the left, but it is strange that from the right side, then from the east a very strong storm is coming and I tried to highlight it with clouds on the horizon.
In the foreground, to set up my composition well, a detail of a Eucaliptus, typical tree of our plain.

Buongiorno a tutti cari amici. Oggi vi presento un dipinto ad acquarello di un luogo a me molto caro, che quando posso visito con passione.
Questo luogo è un'area verde e archeologica su un lago costiero, confinante quindi, con il mare e la campagna. E' un sito naturale e storico sotto la tutela del Parco Nazionale del Circeo, e per me rappresenta una fonte inesauribile di ispirazione e creatività.

All'interno dell'area verde fu costruita verso la fine del 1800 una stupenda villa inglese di proprietà di una nobile famiglia.
Nelle mie peregrinazioni ho realizzato molti acquarelli di questi soggetti che continuano a darmi suggestioni antiche e da favola.
Questo lavoro è un acquarello di dimensioni molto grandi e chi dipinge ad acquarello sa benissimo che diventa molto difficile dipingere su grandi formati.
Ho cercato di cogliere un istante del tramonto a ovest con la luce che esplode a sinistra, ma è singolare che dal lato destro, quindi da est è in arrivo un temporale molto forte ed ho cercato di evidenziarlo con i nuvoloni all'orizzonte.
In primo piano, per impostare bene la mia composizione, un particolare di un Eucaliptus, albero tipico della nostra pianura.
