Art: Collage: 11:11 No.1. Mount Kosciuszko: Australia.

in #art5 years ago (edited)

Trekking.
To Mount Kosciuszko.
The highest peak in Australia.
Snow melting. Riverlets and marshes.
Thick fog obscuring. 11:11. Fine mist swirling.
Seeds feather your silent world. The sun breaks through.
Toes freezing. I catch my breath.
We are HERE. NOW.

~Ally.

A mountain keeps an echo deep inside.
That's how I hold your voice.

What a beautiful scape you have expressed. Loving your vibes today Ally

Thanks so much @sunscape.

Interesting for me to look at this work now and see what it contains to me. It was part of a series of about 8 pieces that all had the 11:11 format. And they were made BEFORE knowing anything about the significance of the 11:11.

The night that a friend told me about the 11:11 ~ I went to bed wondering how I could work with the 11:11 and then I realized it was already there in my collages ~ Didn't sleep that night.

Even though the work is vintage, it will always have a place in my heart and I'm so pleased it has touched yours now. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Beautiful collage!
It gives off such soothing a positive vibes.
Steem on :)

Just looking at an 11:11 gives us a feeling of being wooed. Our hearts are touched and we feel more at peace within ourselves. I'm really glad that you felt this @jcsteem. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Perfect harmony. Look lingers on the picture and the brain begins to think)))

Truly appreciate your in-tune comment @amalinavia.

The 11:11 gives us a glimpse of how we can be in harmony with our surroundings and within our own being. They call the 11:11 a Wake up Call for good reason because every time we see it in some form, it triggers something in our brain ~ Sometimes this is so subtle we don't even notice it or if we do, it seems insignificant and yet something in us shifts. And every time we see the 11:11 ~ It adds to the 'shifting.' ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Pure loveliness!

The feathers came from guinea fowls from a neighbour who had a tribe of all different chickens. Recalling now: He was quite an eccentric writer, living in the middle of suburbia. I used to love visiting as it was like being on an exotic island ~ Palm trees and masses of flowers around a lily pond and chickens roaming everywhere.

This was my favorite collage in the series as it still holds a lovely soft stillness for me. So pleased you like it too Melinda. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Hoped you'd like it @thereikiforest. One of my very early collages ~ Using my own photographs.

Was the one and only time I've been to Mount Kosciuszko. We caught a ski lift to the summit early in the morning and walked all day in the mist. Down below it was summer and super hot and yet up on the mountain, it was just on zero. The mountains in the background and the buddha were my first photographs with my then, new Nikon. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Very creative, I love it! Thank you for posting in Feather Friday! Voted & Resteemed. Have a great weekend! :-)

Was wanting to join Feather Friday ever since I saw Melinda's and then your photographs of birds. We have a resident family of magpies and I'll ask them if I can photograph them sometime. Sure they won't mind. I'm really happy that you like this work, as much of my current ephemeral art includes feathers too. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

I love the poem and collage combo. The poem really sets the stage for your collage. I am instantly drawn in and feel ready for peace.

btw, what are the rays - seeds, petals?

Ah, that's the magic of a little buddha and mountains, the 11:11 and feathers AND seeds.

The seeds were from flannel flowers which grow wild in the bush here. They are really soft and fur like and I loved the way they look like little spearheads.

This isn't my photograph ~ Comes from Lane Cove National Park ~ Which is just a few km away from where I live. You can see the rounded centres that are made up of all the seeds. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎
